The guidelines for development and operation of enrolment schemes are issued under section 11G (3) of the Education Act 1989 for the purpose of describing the basis on which the Secretary’s powers in relation to enrolment schemes will be exercised.
Home Zone
All students who live within the home zone described below and/or shown on the attached map shall be entitled to enrol at the school.
Starting at the intersection of Don Buck Road and Woodside Road travel north east along Woodside Road (1 – 69 and 2 – 72 included). At the end of Woodside Road, follow the footpath onto Sunline Avenue (1 – 692-60 included). Travel east along Sunline Avenue then turn north onto Shale Avenue (2-10 and 3 – 13 included), continue north onto Helena Street. Travel west along Helena Street (1 – 67 and 2 – 84 Included) then north west along Aldern Road (1-47and 6-36, Alidade Place and Kearney and Lowell Place included) to the intersection of Aldern Road and Don Buck Road. Continue north along Don Buck Road (35-221 and 28 – 204, Jezero Drive, Karika Place, Mamuku Drive, Tararua Street included) and travel north east onto Zita Maria Drive (addresses 20 and above, Angeline Place Clyma Place included). Continue along Zita Maria Drive onto Donovan Avenue. Travel north west along Donovan Avenue (1 -55, 2-70 and Albermarie Place Included) north west to the intersection of Donovan Avenue and Don Buck Road Travel South through Don Buck Road to Chamberlain Road (2-136 and 5-151 included).Continue west along Chamberlain Road until the intersection of Chamberlain Road and Birdwood Road(excluded). From the intersection travel south along Birdwood Road and then south east along the boundary of Te Rangi Hiroa Park then across country to Tiriwa Drive (29-120 and 31-89 included). Travel north along Gordon Stanley Drive (1-27 and 2-24 included) to the intersection of Don Buck Road. Travel south along Don Buck Road back to the starting point.
All residential addresses on included sides of boundary roads and all no exit roads off included sides of boundary roads are included in the zone unless otherwise stated.
Proof of residence within the home zone will be required.
Each year, applications for enrolment in the following year from in-zone students will be sought by a date which will be published in a daily or community newspaper circulating in the area served by the school. This will enable the board to assess the number of places which can be made available to students who live outside the home zone.
Special Programmes
This priority category is not applicable at this school because the school does not run a Special programme approved by the Secretary.
