Kia ora koutou, I’m Angie Riggs and I love being a part of our Don Buck Kura. In my role as a kaiako (teacher) I wear many hats. Supporting tamariki through their learning journey is awesome, and of course working with whānau is a super part of that journey also. I was born and bred in Kawerau, Bay of Plenty and have been living in Tāmaki Makaurau for quite a while now. I’m a proud Māmā of 2 ‘grown up tamariki’, and am so lucky to also have 3 teenage mokopuna!! We live locally, in Massey. Whānau is a big part of my life, and we’re spread throughout Aotearoa and Australia. I love camping at the beach down on the East Coast, being with friends and whānau. And of course, being able to go home to Kawerau… You’re always welcome to come into our kura for a kōrero and cuppa… Nau mai haere mai.
